Google Earth 6 Won'T Install

Featured Replies

I am downloading from here successfully, the installer, http://www.google.com/earth/index.html

It appears to be installing, takes several mins, says it is installed successfully.

I can not find it in my start menu. I can't find it in a search, just the installer. Tried 3 times, several reboots as well.

I am mysterfied whistling.gif, any tips? rolleyes.gif

I assume you ran the file GoogleEarthSetup.exe and the installation from the Internet download completed ok? Did you have a previous version of Google Earth installed as it will be using the same startup menu item for 6 as it just replaces the previous version.

What OS - Win7, XP, etc.?

Indeed it does try to hide and is not listed on my programs list at all. If you do not have a desktop shortcut you can find it in the c drive program files(x86)\google\google earth\client folder.

I also note the publisher is not listed as the normal "Google, Inc" but just "Google" in the control panel program removal screen.

I am running Win 7 Pro. (Thread Title)

My Goodness, it is like a magician hiding itself. Yep, it was there hidden away, and I right clicked to make a shortcut on my desktop.

Comming form Google, the company trying to dominate the world, I am a little surprised with this crap making it hard to run their products.

Thanks Chaps, it was spot on.rolleyes.gif
