Getting A Suspicious Mole Removed In Bkk

Featured Replies

I have a mole that has changed in size and is therefore suspect, so I want to have it cut out to be on the safe side. I don't have a lot of money though (and no insurance) so I don't want to just march into the nearest hospital and give them carte blanche to charge me whatever they like......AFTER they've cut it out and sent it to the pathologist. I've heard some complaints about overcharging.

Should I get it cut out at a local clinic and let them send it to their pathologist ? Theirs may not be reputable, and I don't want some clod to be saying it's not cancerous if it is.

Alternatively, is there a hospital in Bangkok which is known to be reasonably cheap for a simple procedure such as this, and which is known to have Western-standard pathology ?
