Hi,

I haven't found a good battery in 7 years of driving in Thailand. Are there any good batteries from Japan or the US sold here. I don't think they make a good Thai battery, do they? Warranty for 3 months? Seem to say it all.

Thanks,

I use the premium grade Panasonic. If I remember, it has a 1 year warranty. I also keep it hooked to a Battery Tender, which dramatically increases battery life.

Boliden

Most sold battery in the middle east, works great in heat, warranty in Th 2 or 3 years, but actually lasts longer

+1, my next battery, Boliden dry cell. :)

Forgive my ignorance, but I've never heard of a battery tender. How much do they cost, and where can one fine them - preferably in BKK?

Thanks for replying about the Panasonic and Boliden batteries.

The Yuasa battery on my work trucks are 4 years old and still OK, (touch wood). One of them has died completely, but with a quick charge came back to life and has been OK since.

Life maybe vehicle specific. Dependent on battery location and how the under bonnet temperatures are. Plus regular electrolyte level checks which my staff do not do even when told. mad.gif

My plan is to buy Yuasa again when the time comes.

ad ctec, Swedish charger

sold by vvp4x4supply.com in BKK, hope i recalled adress correctly, starting with v v not w

If you use vehilce/battery daily, still good to connect ctec overnight once a month as car usually does not charge with 14,45 Volt needed to fully charge battery.

If not used daily, connect ctec whenever parked

Hi,

Bought a Boliden 85 amp battery - silver/calcium. Swedish Technology - I think made in Thailand. baht 3,400 Warranty 18 mos. Hope it's a good one at that price.
