Posting Delicate Expensive Object

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a good delivery company? Is there a TNT on the island?

I need to post a very expensive laptop to Chiang Mai. It needs to be insured completely.

Any advice is appreciated.

Matt.

How much Bro? Can you take it in a suitcased handcuffed to you?

no i can only give u my word. u do trust me ???

oh yes and an old fashioned gentleman's hand shake

Hey Matt, I'd recommend using the Nathon main post office. They have boxes and padding.

Use an oversize box, plenty plenty plenty padding, overdo it!

Send via registered and insured surface mail via Thai postal services.

I have done this many times for sensitive and delicate stuff from Nathon to Thailand and overseas and never had any serious issues.

Sent some damned big stuff too, no worries.

Of course, I too offer my delivery services as do other posters, we should do an auction on delivery services, see who gets the job, eh?

Cheers/Cheerio

You can send with Bkk airways should be about 300bt. I've send a computer before no packing just in it's carry bag.

Hey John. Thanks for that. Do you know if they will insure it? I guess my friend will need to go to the airport in Chiang Mai and collect it?

I don't know if they insure but I wouldn't worry about it being lost. As for pick up and deliver just give them a call I don't have there number.

Thanks again for that. However I would need it insuring. If it was dropped and the screen broke, it would be a very expensive repair.

I will try registered and insured surface mail via Thai postal services.

Thanks again for all the replies. It's appreciated.

Matt.
