Alternative To True Highspeed Internet

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I was hoping for some advice on internet providers.

I just rented some office space in pattaya and need to get the internet sorted. At home we use TOT but I haven't had the best experience with them and I am looking for a different provider for my office.

I got in touch with true and they told me it would take a month to get connected. I cant wait that long and I am looking for an alternative.

The package I was going for with True was the 12mg one.

Anyone with good experience of other providers could you let me know?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Where in Pattaya, exactly?

Your options vary wildy according to location.

Hi darrel. Soi Khao Noi. The other guy in the office said that we can get pretty much any provider there :)

We are in Khaotalo and have very few problems with True.

We have the 10 meg/1 Meg package and overall it's pretty reliable.

The occaisional dropout but nothing too much

yeah thats the problem. I hear True is best but they cant connect me for at least a month! They say they have no free lines at the minute :-/

Soi Khao Noi.

Ha! You call it Pattaya but I call it the darkside. I remember it mostly as a mosquito-infested swamp/jungle (circa 1985). Not sure that it's any better now. :)

I was going to talk about 100mbs on 2nd Rd but that wont help you much!

Not at all sure if it applies to your area (you're way out of my comfort zone), but you could try approaching your cable supplier as they can turn the internet on in hours rather than weeks. It's pretty cheap and can serve as a good backup even if you also order ADSL from someone else (which I would certainly do).
