Police charge two terror suspects in northwest England

2011-08-05 15:59:35 GMT+7 (ICT)

MANCHESTER (BNO NEWS) -- Police in northwest England have charged a couple under the terrorism act for allegedly preparing acts of terrorism, officials said on Friday. Few details were immediately released.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said 33-year-old Mohammed Sajid Khan and 37-year-old Shasta Khan of Oldham were each charged with engaging in conduct in preparation for acts of terrorism. The conduct allegedly took place between August 10, 2010 and July 24, 2011.

The couple has also been charged with three counts of possessing a record of information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism. They are scheduled to appear before court later on Friday.

"There is no evidence to suggest any communities in Greater Manchester or the surrounding areas are at immediate risk in connection with the alleged offences under investigation," a police spokesperson said, without giving other details.

I hope the police try them by Shariah Law.

"Off with their hands" (and legs).

Oops maybe not, that would mean unemployment, income support, disability, housing benefit, home care, mobility allowance and every other support available for life!
