b_bob
Hi everyone- my first post! I am moving out to the Land of Smiles on Monday 31st. I have my retirement visa neatly stuck in my passport. I have a 12 month multi entry as I intend going back to the uk for a couple of weeks in January. I now have got myself confused! (doesnt' take much once your over 50!). Having read some of the threads on the forum, can someone please explain the system that I need to comply with, with regard to reporting every 90 days. where do I get the form? I believe I can report by post? Any advise will be gratefully received - I'd rather not start off on a bad foot! This is also my first time on a forum, so I hope this message gets on!! lopburi3
Your first report will be due 90 days after you return from the UK in January if you do not travel again during that time. The report is only due if you are in the country for 90 days or more without leaving. The form can be obtained at any immigration office or downloaded. I believe your first report will have to be made in person as you must send your previous receipt when done by mail. You can ask them for instruction sheet when you make your report next April. Thetyim
Same with me, done all my 90 day reports by mail and I never send a copy of my last report. Lopburi3 is stating how it should legally be done, not how it is done in the provinces. The forms can be downloaded here : http://www.imm.police.go.th/nov2004/en/bas...p?page=download
Seen all, learnt nothing
I was going to query your multi-entry after checking with the London embassy website where it specifies Single Entry. But heh ho! Look on application form and it says multi available for 90GBP. What is interesting is that downloadable medical cert does include alcholism. It is a requirement for when you extend here. But fortunately any Thai doc can ascertain this from checking your pulse for 3 secs. Why would immigration believe that in space of one year in LOS you could degenerate into a chronic alchoholic. Beats me. Enjoy your retirement here b-bob.
Seen all, learnt nothing
Amended so it makes sense I was going to query your multi-entry after checking with the London embassy website where it specifies Single Entry. But heh ho! Look on application form and it says multi available for 90GBP. What is interesting is that downloadable medical cert does NOT NOT include alcholism. It is a requirement for when you extend here. But fortunately any Thai doc can ascertain this from checking your pulse for 3 secs.
