Jai Dee Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Thailand is ready to host the 4th World Buddhist Leaders' Summit Deputy Prime Minister Suwat Liptapanlop (สุวัจน์ ลิปตพัลลภ), who supervises the National Bureau of Buddhism, together with Phra Rachmethaporn(พระราชเมธาภรณ์), Vice President for Management and Acting President of Maha Makut Rajawithayalai university (มหามกุฏราชวิทยาลัย) as president of the event organizers and Mrs. Boonsri Phanajit(บุญศรี พนาจิตต์), Deputy Director of National Office of Buddhists have revealed at the press conference about the 4th World Buddhists Leaders Summit to be held between this November 1st - 5th at Prince of Chumporn Ketudomsak (ชุมพร เขตอุดมศักดิ์)Hall, the Royal Thai Navy. The objectives of the meeting are to exchange views from buddhists leaders all over the world, to spread the teachings of Lord Buddha, to strengthen relations between the 2 branches of Buddhism as well as to celebrate the 60th anniversary of His Majest's ascension to the throne. It is expected that more than 3,000 Bhuddists from 32 countries will participate in this conference. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will preside over the opening ceremony of the conference on this November 1st at 9.00 hours.
