Now Norton Utilities is no longer available for Mac after the release of OS-X, how do I defrag the OS-X installed HDD? My PowerBook is performing pretty slow these days after using it for more than a year (Panther). I don't want the hassle of having to format the HDD and reinstall everything when I'm still now quite familiar with OS-X and don't know where to find the preference files and other datas (iTunes, iPhoto, email, etc) for back up.
