Minor injuries sustained by victim of Bag Snatch in Sriracha

SRI RACHA: -- An accountant’s assistant was targeted by two suspected thieves on Thursday as she drove to work. Police from Sriracha were called to a small road in Surasak sub-district where they met Khun Gaetganok aged 34 who was clearly shaken but was able to explain she took a different route to work every morning as she was afraid of gangs who were committing bag snatches in the area. As she drove along the road, two young men on a further bike, came from behind and the passenger lent over and attempted to snatch the victim’s handbag. During a struggle, her bike fell to the ground causing her to sustain minor injuries. The bag, containing 2,000 Baht in cash, a mobile phone, ATM cards and other personal documents was taken by the two assailants who drove off in the direction of the Sukhumvit Road.
