90 Day Reporting And Lost Passport

Featured Replies

I've got a one year non-immigrant B Visa and Work permit.

I just realised that I lost my passport (or it was stolen) last week when I tried to find it so I could go for my 90 day reporting at immigration.

My new passport will arrive after my 90 days are up.

Two questions:

1) If the passport is lost, and you are waiting to have it replaced, are you still responsible for doing the 90 day reporting on time? If not, I suppose I'll be reporting late and I'll have to pay the 2000 bt fine.

2) How many days late (if any) can you report for the 90 day reporting without being fined? If my passport arrives on time, I'll end up reporting 7 or 8 days late?

Up to 7 days late.

I suspect they would allow you to report with a police report of passport loss.

I had the same situation. I was 8 days over when my emergency passport arrived. I was charged 1 day late fee.

Believe the idea (Lop3's) is to go in early with only the police report and make your 90-day report sans passport.

Take along some "proof" of address, of course, altho at least at Sam Koke, Pathum Thani last week, not needed.

How much is the one day late fee?

I thought the late fee was 2000 baht regardless of whether you were one day late or many days late.

Late reporting of 90 days is normally a 2,000 baht fine.
