Black List

When you are declared persona non grata ( an unacceptable or unwelcome person ) you go on the ' blacklist ' and are prohibited from entering the country that listed you. All Embassies and Consulates get your particulars and you are entered into the entry point computers. Being blacklisted does not take an order of Court, rather it is done administratively. In the case of Thailand it is usually up to 99 years, and generally speaking, is not appealable.

I have a friend who got caught up in the false stamp thing. Even though he paid about 40k to have his case speeded up and not to be put on the Black List. When he got to his country of origin and checked on things. He found that he had been blacklisted for 2 years. Whilst I can not refute the erudition of Dr P. I would try and check it for yourself

I did answer to Dr Pat Pong and Marquess by mail.

To be blacklisted, even if the reason can be so thin, is OK.

To have to pay, for you and two policemen whose escort you (even if only one is really going with you), to be deported from one part of the country to Bangkok is OK.

To have to wait for deportation in inhuman conditions is OK.

That is deeply unfair is not to be informed of anything, both by immigration police, thai embassies or consulates.

That is deeply unfair is that both immigration police, thai embassies or consulates are not replying at all to very polite letters.

That is deeply unfair is that both immigration police, thai embassies or consulates are lying when answering to phone calls.

Go home change your name, get a new passport and come back!

If I were able to do that, I will agree to be blacklisted in the whole world. But that not realy my style.

Thai policemen and immigration officiers themselves already told me that, both in Phuket and Bangkok.

Well, by the sounds of it mate, you might not have another choice.

Can I ask what you were black listed for?

I was charged to have injured a swiss neighbour (I'm swiss too) after have beaten him.

In reality it was the opposite. It was no witness.

I was sentenced with 6 months jail with 2 years suspension of sentence, no fine nore court fee.

The man who said I had injured him has already injured at least five people, in different occasion, both thai and farang. He never had to go to court because he ever gave money to people he has injured.

I own a petition which says about that, signed by about 40 thai people whose are living in the same village and 10 farangs whose know both about my story and that man.

My thai lawyers, both the first and the second, never show that petition to the court.

What about just getting a new passport without changing the name? doesnt the Passport number change? and isnt that what they use in the computer?

I think that access is by name, birth date and/or passport number. Sex is also a criteria.
