SuperSingha
3 or 4 months is long term ? I was thinking that only 3 or 4 lives is long term :-) huh? A normal holiday for me would be 1-2 weeks...dunno where your from?
john1000
You ask too many questions, and all really are answered by common sense. Unless you really have not travelled much outside your home town. If you have a condo over 3 months, I think its much better.
Tanaka
Tingtonglongdong. You have been given good advice here. Although there is no such thing as "common sense" here in Thailand, do bring your own. And as has been said, be streetsmart. Do not wear valuables or more money than you think you may need when you go out. Do not carry a big camera around in the evening. If you find yourself facing a drunk, annoying man, smile and walk away. Don't pick a fight, ever. Smile often. If you want LT (longtime) or ST is up to you of course. I never like ST. And you WILL fall in love. But try to remember that the girls are working, whatever you may think. And they are very good actresses and will tell you what you want to hear. And make up your mind before how much you are willing to pay for ST or LT. If you take a girl from a gogo, she will cost you much more than one from a beer bar. And you don't pay in advance except the barfine. A ST is usually 1-2 hours. LT till next morning. Personally I won't pay more than 1000B LT from a beerbar. I know some pays more, up to them. But from a gogo they can ask for 2000 or more. Agree beforehand with the lady how much you are willing to pay. Always show them respect and be polite. They are doing a job. If someone reaches out his hand wanting to shake yours, do NOT take it. Just ignore him. He is a salesman or a tailor. Don't show your wallet with a lot of money in it. Don't get drunk. Learn to use the Bahtbuses (smaller pickups with seats in the back). They run fixed lines and you wave them down with your hand and press a button inside when you want to get off. Pay the driver or his passenger 10 baht through the left window. As long as you go in Pattaya the price is 10B. Avoid motorbike taxis and DO look both ways before crossing a street. Thailand has left-hand traffic but that does not mean that someone cannot come going the other way. Anywhere. And pedestrians do not have right of way. You will find some traffic lights in Pattaya. Do not count on vehicles stopping when you have a green light to cross. You can get loads of information on different kinds of establishments in P from www.pattaya-addicts.com Relax and enjoy your stay.
BB1950
I've noticed for quite a while that 'tingtonglongdong' appeared to be quite naive, more like an adolescent trolling for excitement. I've been wondering how long before others would catch on.
Rimmer
Some posts have been removed and another with a quoted reply edited. Please see the following rule that you agreed to when you signed up to Thai Visa 18) Not to discuss the specifics of prostitution. Thailand has a visible sex industry, and acknowledgment of that fact is not forbidden. However ThaiVisa is not the place to seek or give information on this topic, regardless of your sexual habits, preferences or orientation.

BB1950
Anyway I never said I was a mature grown up or old retired man. Still dont mean Im trolling or not interested in going to Thailand. Many people of many ages and many personalities in the world ya know I guess you are admitting to being an immature adolescent. In almost every one of your posts you were trolling (a form of fishing) for information about the sex industry in Pattaya. So what were your interests in Thailand besides the sex industry in Pattaya? For your information, you need to be 18 or over to even visit any of the types of establishments you were asking about. It is the law. Thailand is a wonderful place to learn about many things besides sex. I highly recommend it to all young men if they have the opportunity, but sitting behind a keyboard is not a good way to learn about it. I think the term is 'Nerd'. You need to learn by experiencing it! Travel is enlightening, grasshopper. Yes there are many people of many ages and personalities in the world. There's nothing wrong with that. It's what makes the world go around and it's necessary. There's a time and place for everything, but clearly for what you were seeking, it's not the right time and right place. Fly, young man, fly! But watch the landings, they can hurt.if done improperly. Edited September 2, 2011 by BB1950
Thaddeus
Fly young man, fly! But watch the landings, they can hurt.if done improperly. Especially if the only form of flight is a kite..... actually they tend to hurt less, and cheaper.

SuperSingha
ha well believe me my interest in Thailand is more than girls and Pattaya. But this is the Pattaya forum section hence questions regarding Pattaya. I never knew initially that it was against rules to discuss the workings of Pattaya in this specific forum. My bad. ANd I am 18+ but still just as horny so hot Thai girls are sure a high priority However, I do still need a base for 2-3 months and I guess either Bangkok or Pattaya is were I will stay. Pattaya seems a bit hardcore and seedy for long term stay but Bangkok seems more expensive. I dont know where to stay still? Safety also issue off course. Then off course I plan maybe 4-6 weeks of travel all over Thailand and perhaps Cambodia, Vietnam though not sure on safety etc and travel alone to these places? vpi78
If Thai Visa provides it for member's use, why would they delete it? Interesting. I did not know that ... thanks. Seems to be a violation of Rule 3) Not to post in a manner that is vulgar, obscene or profane but I may be the only one that thinks a cartoon figure jerking off is vulgar.
