What counties are worth visiting where you get a visa on arrival, we have already been to Hong kong

We have Australian and Thai passports

Thanks in advance for any replies

Singapore, Malaysia.

I should have mentioned Bali and Singapore since we have been there as well

Mrs PCA does not seem interested in visiting Malaysia but she would love to see snow

I do not know why as she is under a blanket when it rains in Phuket although its still hot :)

South Korea, we went skiing there last year, a day in Seoul and then onto Yongpyong for the skiing, plenty of snow there. Certainly was cold up in the mountains, -18 at one stage but that didn't worry my other half as sitting in Covent Garden in London did on the hottest day of the year.

You can both enter without visas, you are just stamped in on arrival. We had heard many horror stories about Thai women getting the third degree at immigration but our fears were not realised. Beautiful countey and very friendly people, not too sure about the food, we might take some mama next time.

Pretty sure she is going need a visa in advance for any European country, certainly the main ones like those in Schengen and the UK she would, she will also need one for the US.

Bermuda is one option, but you are talking about a long flight, she can enter visa free but would probably need a transit visa for the US, but may not need one if transiting the UK.

How about The Maldives, visa on arrival, direct flight from Bangkok though probably no snow.

I amnot sure of this is any help or not but will try. I did a search once on countries Thais have visa privileges to on arrival at country and surprisingly there are 88 countries. So I suggest do a search together and make the decision from what is available an easy.

Use this for a way to find out if a Thai person needs a visa, you can change the country name at the front to test for other countries. It can get a little tricky for countries with spaces in the names, sometimes they're hyphens "-", other times underscores "_"...

If anyone knows of a "reverse" type of site that allows you to just enter "Thailand" and "Where can I go" I'd be interested:

Hey, theoldgit, I just did a quick check for the maldives, it doesn't appear VOA at all for Thais. I'm not saying this site is perfect though:

http://maldives.visahq.com/requirements/Thailand/ (required)

http://south-korea.visahq.com/requirements/Thailand/

http://fiji.visahq.com/requirements/Thailand/

http://india.visahq.com/requirements/Thailand/ (required)

You get the picture

Visa HQ certainly indicate that Thais cannot get a visa on arrival, but the Delta site, which is normally pretty accurate, says they can. I suppose they cannot both be right

http://www.delta.com/planning_reservations/plan_flight/international_travel_information/visa_passport_information/

Visa required, except for Nationals of Thailand can obtain a visa on arrival, for a max. stay of 30 days.

The Department of Immigration for The Maldives advises that all nationalities can get a visa on arrival, subject to meeting certain requirement.

Ahhh, I was forgetting the obvious, a visa is still required, it's just that many countries do offer a visa on arrival service for certain countries (if not most - with the exception of thailand)...

I've just run through a few checks, and yeah, for example, a tourist visa is required for an Australian visiting Laos, and the site does reflect that, but obviously we are entitled to apply for a visa on arrival. I like the ease of the visaHQ site, but it does miss that one important factor - obviously because they want you to apply for visas through them. Still a good place to start though.

And thanks for the Delta link too, That works well! Another tool in the arsenal.
