I would like to know the statistic for the annual turnover for house renovation and construction business particularly on the condo property in the Bangkok area.

Would appreciate for the information. Tks in advance.

I bet you won't find out much about this. A lot of house and condo (individual unit) renovatioins are done by really small contractors and how could anyone possibly keep track? What's your angle....want to start a business?

Yes, I am compiling a business plan in this sector. Have checked with the Statistical Dept. but invain. That is why have to resort to this informative forum.

If you are after buying wrecks, renovating them and selling after, I doubt there is much of opportunity in BKK. At least it wont' be at the it is in Sydney although BKK is almost 3 times bigger.

A real estate specialist from Pattaya wrote - "If you think there is oversupply of new condos, they are only the tip of the iceberg. There are thousands and thousands "second hand" condos on databases that can't find buyers".

I would not mind buying an "used" condo, don't know how many are like me to make it a big industry for renovators.

On the other hand, Tim Talay condos in Pattaya (800 or something ) individual rooms (36sqm with kitchen, bathroom and balcony) attracted many buyers who bought 1, 2 , 3 neighboring units and redesigned them into 2 or 3 bedroom apartments. That's where massive renovations were and are going on and the place near to inhabitable due to constant banging.
