If I Skip This 90 Day Report Will I Be In Good Standing?

Featured Replies

I came back into the kingdome via rail from Laos on June 5th, 2011 and by my count my 90 day report is due on September 2nd. I know I have a 7 day window after that September 2nd date to make that report and as it turns out I am flying out of Thailand on Thursday, September 8th for a few days. I have a Non O-A "retirement" visa, mutiple reentry.

I really dislike going to my Immi office as they are just goofy and it is expensive and time consuming to get there and if I can skip this visit and let my exit and reentry into the kingdome serve as my 90 day report I would be a happy guy.

Thank you for your thoughts.

If you will be in the country for 90 days on the 2nd, you have to report as you are in the country for 90 days. The 7 days is a window to report, not a window in which you report or not.

You are allowed to report by mail, only a very few offices don't allow it.

Does your Immigration office allow mail-in reports? Which one do you use?

My office tells me they will not deal with mailed in reports

The rules are the rules, regardless how goofy the immigration staff are

I'm interested to know why the OP thinks the immigration staff are "goofy"?

It is much too late even if they offer mail reporting. On return and next making report they may or may not notice from the stamps in your passport that your exit was beyond 90 days. If they do notice you will be fined.

I really dislike going to my Immi office as they are just goofy and it is expensive and time consuming to get there

Maybe if you tell them they won't bother you anymore with these rules :whistling:
