Kawasaki Versys 650 - Lowering Kit

Featured Replies

Attention Mods... this is a Chiang Mai Question.

Please don't move to the Motorcycle Forum.

Hello,

Been looking at some big bikes in Town.

Like the looks of the Kawasaki Versys 650.

However, the bike is TOO Tall for my short legs.

Does anyone have the Lowering Kit installed on their

Kawasaki Versys here in Chiang Mai?

Would like to check it out before spending 285,000 baht

on a new bike.

Thanks,

Hi Vacationman,

I had the exact same problem when looking at the Versys. You can overcome this in two ways. You can buy a lowering kit which will do the job for you or you can go for the Hyperpro rear shock which also lowers the ride height.

I went for the rear shock option as i thought this would be the best option in my opinion.

A friend of mine had the lowering kit added but in the process Kawasaki managed to damage his rear hugger. They accepted full responsibility and to their credit have ordered him a new one and are painting it to replace the damaged one.

P.M. me if you want to see the result of the rear shock option.
