Hachi Japanese Restaurant, Nong Hoi.

This place is good Japanese food, reasonably priced (sets for 100 (pork)-200 Baht (fish), large plates of good fish for up to 400Baht, all beers sub 100Baht). The owner mentioned that they were struggling due to lack of customers. Would hate to see the place close down, purely for selfish reasons, but if I like it then surely others would to.

My bill last night for 2 - 290Baht. My friend's bill for 2 - 870Baht. Obviously getting the set meals makes things cheaper.

Located on the Chiang Mai-Lamphun Road a few hundred meters north of the intersection with Mahidol Road. Coming from town, over the river, past Holiday Inn and Rajavej Hospital, turn right at the lights, continue along the road past Nong Hoi market and the police station, it's on the right hand side, opposite a small VCD rental store and next door to a Moo Jum place advertising plates at 19Baht upwards.
