I am a thai citizen who has not spent much time in thailand or with my thai based family.That is my reason for thinking about coming.Who are you to deny me my heritage ? Who said I wont do interesting things ? I plan to do lots of interesting things.Although I wont be becoming a monk, I am not religous.And I dont want to start a business in Thailand, however I may have to pay income tax when performing my consulation services from BKK, as I will not be a NZL tax resident after 187 days abroad.

Actually this brings up an interesting point, how do i pay tax and to who ? I would essentially be a sole proprietor.
