September 6, 201114 yr I converted my tourist visa to Non-B at BKK Immigration. The Non-B visa was for 90 days which expire on 27-10-11. A note stapled to my passport says I have to apply for a 1-year extension of stay 30 days prior to the expiration. However, my school says my WP will not be ready by that time. How strict is the 30-day deadline? Never heard of it before. Do I have the option to extend at BKK Immigation for 7-30 days for 1900 Baht? If I can't extend is my only option to get another Non-B at a That Embassy? Thanks in advance.
September 6, 201114 yr You can get 7 more days at immigrations for ฿1900, after that you must get a new visa abroad. Edited September 6, 201114 yr by PoorSucker
September 6, 201114 yr You must make application before your current 90 day stay expires - during the last 30 days of that stay. You do not have to apply exactly 30 days early.
