Ed-Visa Soon To Expire, Can I Get Keep Getting Extensions?

Featured Replies

Hi

My ed-visa is about to expire, I studied Muaythai one year, I would now like to start studying Thai,

I have found a good school that offers ED-visa, I already have an ED VISA 12 months Multi.

Every 3 months i needed to to a border run and i got 90days.

but it does not say muaythai can I use the papers I get in from school for study Thai and get an extension 90days or do i need to get a new visa

This would be much cheaper if i can just keep getting extensions without have to leave the country for a new 90 days ed-visa for study Thai..

You can still use your Visa up until 21st October.

Do a border run just before it expires to get another 90 days.

This will give you a bit more time.

If you qualify for extension of stay (school paperwork) you can apply during the last 30 days of any stay but at most locations this will be for only 90 days to study Thai and a new application/fee would have to be made every 90 days.

So i dont need to leave the country for a new ed-visa? i can just go to immigration every 90 days from now once i have the school-papers and get a extension for 1900tbh and get 90days as long as i study thai?

Yes but you must have updated paperwork on each extension and pay the 1,900 baht fee.
