Hello there,

This is my first post on this forum so hello all.

I have a quick query and hoping somebody can answer for me please. I am in Thailand on a tourist visa that I obtained from Birmingham prior to leaving the UK. It is good for 3 journeys (ie I can stay in Thailand for 60 days at a time and re-enter 3 times). When I arrived into Thailand I received a stamp with the date I arrived (1st Aug) and an "admitted until" date which is 29th September. I understand I have to leave Thailand before 29th Sep before returning. This is fine as I am going to Singapore on 25th September so all good there. When I return from Singapore I assume I will get another similar stamp with a new "admitted until" date on it, presumably this will be another 60 days. Which is fine, however if I wanted to go to say Cambodia for example for a weekend, a couple of weeks after re-entering Thailand - will I get a new stamp upon my return thus using up my third and final journey?

I hope this is clear and somebody can offer advice. If not, please let me know and I will try and describe more clearly!

Many thanks

It is good for 3 journeys to Thailand. Each time you enter you can stay for up to 60 days. You can even extend each entry by 30 days.

But keep in mind that the visa itself has an expiration date. All entries must be made before that date. It states soemthing like "must be utilized before **-**-****.

Thank you Mario.

OK, so 60 days at a time but if I left and re-entered before the end of that 60 day period (say 20 days for a weekend away) would that 60 day period effectively be ended and my next 60 day allocation be started?

Correct. When you return your next 60 day period would start.

Am not sure a re-entry permit would be issued with a valid visa pending. For last entry it would not be an issue but while valid tourist visa entries remain they could refuse.
