New computer user have windows xp with basic dial up system. Should I download new firewall or is the one already on the system safe enough? If I download new one does it effect the working of the computer which at present I am happy with. Any advice welcome.

if you mean the standard windows firewall by system safe than you better opt for another, zone alarm free edition is a good alternative to keep you happy

and switch off windows firewall when using zonealarm
