After a kitchen re-fit and some extensive renovation, Dutch Delicious opens tomorrow with a party including a free buffet and (they tell me) Champagne. The festivities kick off at 7:00 but I wouldn't leave it too late if you want to stand a chance of getting any of the bubbly.

They laid on an impromptu buffet for the Photographic Group the day after they took over and it was pretty good, so with a brand new kitchen and some time to prepare this should be definitely worth trying. The location is on my Opinionated Map Of Chiang Mai

But the parking just as bad ................

Doesn't matter in this case! It's for Dutch people so all they need is a wall for their bicycle . It's brilliant!

change of owner,i wish them luck.but how long will it stay open.we wait and see

Hospitality is a high risk business to be sure but often people apply their own formula to a simple idea and surprise us all. Think back at all the flack directed at El Diablo's when it first opened - the body of opinion on here was that they'd never get past the first slow season and that may still be right, save for the fact that he doesn't seem to know what a slow season is ;).

This place is changing owners more often than I change tires on my bike.

Maybe, but let's give 'em a sporting chance, eh?

Third time lucky maybe........??

It was just an observation. :)

Thanks Greenside. Great night out with very warms hosts. The sausage was great as was the champagne. I'll definitely be back to Dutch Delicious.

With the right formula, should attract a lot of people.

Any ideas?

Post # 21 suggests that they have the right formula.

140 baht for a glass of wine!

Sounds expensive

Kind of depends on the wine.

But it doesn't sound good so far, I admit.

Well, if it's just house wine I think I'll pass.......until I hear different.

Any info on the menu and beer prices etc?
