My friend has gone to IDC in readiness to be repatriated back to the UK, the Police at Lumphini Station phoned me to inform me that he was going there this morning. His family are in the process of buying a ticket, not sure about his overstay (As per another topic), just not sure how long it will take.

Am I allowed to visit him on Sunday, if he is still here?

What can I take if I do visit him?

Any other things I should be aware of?

thanks in advance.

I don't think you can visit him there on Saturday or Sunday. I'm aware of visiting being allowed only on weekdays.

I think food, money, clothing and toiletries are allowed. He should be allowed to have a mobile phone with him, if not, you have to get him a calling card.

I believe cigarettes are used as payment/bribe in prison over here, so you will do him a favor if you bring a couple of packs

And get arrested yourself. Cigarettes are not allowed.
