Great Thai Food

Featured Replies

Can someone recommend a great Thai restaurant in Pattaya, air conditioned and with great Thai food. Not Issan cos my guests are from BKK, everywhere I have gone before disappoints.

I usually take Thai guests to the Vientienne Restaurant, South Pattaya. (recently re-located at the southern end of Walking Street)

Huge menu, good service, good food, including sea food and reasonable prices.

Nang Nual Seafood Restaurant, Walking Street is my favorite. It's not air conditioned but I don't think it needs it. The menu is ten pages of excellent seafood and steaks as well as Thai and Chinese dishes. The seafood is laid out on ice so you can take your pick. The pork chop is gigantic. The restaurant sits on both sides of Walking Street. For lunch I eat at the restaurtant near the water (not out on the deck) and for dinner I dine across the street and up the steps to people watch. Actually they do have an air-conditioned dining area which includes a karaoke stage. It is mostly used by groups of Japanese. The tempura dishes they offer are quite good too.

IMHO

The Nang Nual on Jomtien Beach Road is far, far better than the one on Walking Street. There is also a good seafood place on Soi 12 Naklua (I forget the name) which cames highly recommended.

Lung Sawai Seafood Restaurant (ลุงไสว) at Jomtien Beach Tel.0 3823 1398
