2731.jpg

A German left by his Thai girl friend when his money ran out lost his mind and started walking the streets naked. The tourists and the locals felt sorry for him and gave him 1,000 THB. The Chonburi Immigration Office was notified.

Pattaya (September 20, 2011) (PDN) Pol. Col. Choosak Panusumporn, Superintendent, Chonburi Immigration Police was informed about a foreigner walking naked on the sidewalk in Soi Buakhao Moo 9, Pattaya.

At the scene the police found a foreigner age 45-50, German citizen on the sidewalk, picking up cigarette butts mumbling: “ If I’ve money, my beloved girl friend will not leave me, money for house and food…”

This is the same guy who was reported about weeks ago. So he has been around in this state for a long time.

On the photo on the previous thread about him, his wee man was out for everyone to see, seems it has taken weeks for someone to actually see it, or was he completely naked this time.

I think i saw that guy last april on suk/soi 8 in Bangkok. Real dirty and wearing 1 shoe.

I was going to ask him if he needed help, but he gave me a really bad look.

I'm pretty certain same guy, tall, lanky, i spotted BKK Asoke area around end of July.

In morning staggering from food vendor to food vendor. Though he was wearing clothes, and they were in a state - probably same gear in pic.

Felt sorry, but wary. He did look very "out of it".

No never, lol, happens all over the world.

Good to see the Thais helping the poor German man, Thais are generally very helpful despite all the moaners here.

we it says Tourists gave him money ..... not Thais. but I agree in those situation people are helpful.

Thats sad. If he is truly mentally unstable nothing will help him except a return to Germany where he may get a disability pension however many countries wipe out your residency status after several years away so could be the end of the road for this guy.

yes defiantly the poor soul that I spoke to near 7/11 Suk mid year, he clearly stated he was ok and he did not want my help, I noticed the Thai food vendors giving him food though and a Thai lady was very also very concerned, good that he has finally been "picked up" and some proper care should follow I hope..

How many people in germany (or any other western country) would have handed over money to help him?

Chalk one up for the generousity of the Thai people.

Everybody in europe knows that German people are not friendly and arrogant(this is a fact)and sure would not help him seeing him,

and yes walk away and not even bother.

What nonsense! Over a period of twenty years I visited Germany at least once a year and I never experienced anything but friendliness and hospitality.

I personally saw the German consul in Soi Yensabai about this guy a few weeks ago. He told me that he would do what he could, but nothing seemed to come of it. So either way the German authorities in Thailand have definitely known about him since then.

I dont know what Immigration did with him, but he was back in his usual place outside 7/11 in Soi Diana this morning (Sept 22) at 11am.

He looked a lot worse today than he did a few days ago, and his clothes were badly torn.

This may have something to do with my late father, crewing up a Lancaster bomber and visiting the Fatherland nightly.

Could a thread be started again to see where the guy is now and what his immediate needs are?

Yep. Good one Guzzi ;) ... but our resident "Thai bashers", if they can't find a reason to blame a Thai, they'll invent one.

Could your father's presumably rude conduct on his aerial visits have anything to do with the German's enthusiastically following that annoying little chap from Austria (not mention making a few flights of their own over Her Majesty's island)?

Have you actually been to Germany? I lived there and your generalization is nonsense. Germans are only arrogant when reserving sun louongers at hotel pools :D

Your comment about not helping someone obviously in distress!!!! Wow you must have been well raised. :bah:
