luap Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 2 months ago, Wife and I brought 13 rai with small house (brick and tiled),16km's outside Shikou (50km's south of Korat) for 1.6 mil. We disclosed the purchase price as 450,000 and paid 44,500 approx 10% - what a rip off, sure that was farang price Also paid 6,500 for a government surveyor, but have to wait till Feburary next year to get it done. Offered more money to get it done quick " no can do" what no corruption luap

Who pays what (Buyer / Seller) can be negociated, but usually 50/50... THAILAND PROPERTY TAXES Transfer fee 2% of the registered value of the property Stamp Duty 0.5% of registered value. Only payable if exempt from business tax Withholding tax 1% of the appraised value of the property Business tax 3.3% of the appraised value of the property if selling within 5 years.
