bankroll
Was just wondering what's the best way to transfer some cash (about £800 or 40,000 baht) from UK bank account to Thailand - I don't have a Thai bank account either and not sure I can open one with just tourist visa, but I might try anyway. Aeon spot don't charge the 150 baht ATM fee, but I guess the exchange rate is not good. Other ways could be via Paypal I guess into the account of someone I know here, if the % is not too high. PattayaPhom
Do you have a friend with a Thai bank?......if you are here for any length of time it is worth approaching all the banls to see if they will at least open a savings account with an atm for you...other than that Western Union but charges are high or if you have your UK atm use that
UKJASE
the best way i have found is sending from my Halifax bank account in UK...... they charged £9.50 for any amount.... i sent it online from Halifax in the morning Thai time, and the following evening it was in my account sent as pounds sterling, and kasikorn gave a decent exchange rate
