green77
I am moving to jomiten soon, and i have a good income from a business in the uk, i plan to enjoy the warm climate, good food and i'm going to take up golf, i may start a business just for boredoms sake. I am certainly not there for the women, i'm 33 and good looking and have always managed to get nice girls in the uk. My problem is and i'm not sure if its just me or my taste, but i don't seem to be attracted to thai girls, i have looked on you tube at clips of the girls and even the bar girls for days just trying to see one i think is attractive, don't get me wrong a lot of them have nice bodies but not really my cup of tea, in other words i feel i have had a lot better than any of them back in the uk. Lucky enough girls is not the reason for my move anyway, but i don't want to be single for to long, so i'm hoping there are girls i'm attracted to that are not hookers, but so far i'm not to impressed with what i have seen. This was my first post on another site and i got banned for some reason the sex tourists got very upset. Maybe you become use to a certain type and it takes a while to adapt your mind. Maybe i just don't fancy thais , but i did watch a porno once so that is not true, but maybe not my first choice. Maybe you tube shows all the ugly skanks, but i don't even find the working girls in say the devil den nice at all. Maybe i have had to higher standards and now i'm getting older i 'm not going to achieve the same anymore anyway. Please tell me your thoughts is there anyone else that feels are did feel the same as me, is it a case of needing to adapt, or is this a sign this is just the way i am and may feel like this forever. Thanks
green77
I just see a couple of girls that were okay in club kitten, so i'm sure there will be some i like in everyday life which are not hookers, i'll just be more selective than european women. green77
Just the kind of comment i expected, i'm a businessman not a child. I'm 33 and i would not have an age gap of more than ten years anywhere in the world, i would not want to make a tit of myself and live in denial. What about you lol Is there any adults on this forum who have no problems dating nice young women back home, who don't find thai women as attractive but for one reason or another are living in thailand, and did over time your attraction change, or are you still feeling the same after spending time there. I'm a male who not to long a go in his twenties who watched a porn film big deal, i was only trying to make a point that i have seen a thai girl i like one time, but not very impressed overall, just adding a bit of humour, perhaps you don't understand that, i have not checked maybe your american. Anyway i know it's a long shot but is there anyone that is living or has lived in thailand who is not overly keen on thai girls, or feels they can do better back home, but have other reasons to be in thailand other than women? Boater
so if you are not moving to pattaya for the ladies, why are you moving there?
green77
No i'm not complaining. I'm just saying how i feel now, i'm really hoping my opinions change, i'm sure or i'm lead to believe they are much more friendly than british girls which is easy to believe. I'm sure most of you think i'm crazy for thinking this way, i'm trying to work out why i feel this way. sorry if anyone is offended that's not what i want. stiggy
Move to jomtien and by a bar, lots of succesful ones for sale there. May I suggest looking elsewhere in thailand if you like golf and are not here for the women.

green77
Well lets leave it then, it's not that at all, it has nothing to do with being better, maybe it's just taste. I'm sure i'll meet a nice girl in thailand i'm attracted to, thai or any other race. It did cross my mind that someone would say, i was like you but over time i started to see things different, it's just being stuck with the same people in the same place to long, it just takes time or something. But no of course not, straight on the offensive.

green77
omg of course i like girls, but i only need one at a time, the reason why i have chose jomiten to start with is i feel i need ex pats around me to start with. As for the bar or business there are other reasons for maybe doing that, i do not need the income, but i'm hoping i can find other business options other than a bar nearer the time. Can i ask is unusual for a guy that is not so interested in the bar girls to be in jomiten, my point is even if i had a different girl every night i would still feel lonely, but then i guess we are all different. green77
spoonman Even thoe a wind up, i have to agree that the gay scene will be a culture shock and something i have not openly seen before. I have a lot to learn, i think i'm so set in my british ways and the image of what girls i find attractive, it will take time to adjust, i understand if i was older i would see it different. Ave
I think there are quite a few people who live in Pattaya for different reasons other than the girls or the boyz, as it goes. You'll find people alike as you start networking while you play golf. I wish I could play golf..

Same as you though, wasn't particularly attracted to the local females for the first couple of years. After the delayed start though, you could say I ended up with yellow fever Happily married now with a Thai wife and 2 lovely daughters so, you could say "they grow on you" Good luck with the move. gamini
Judas Thankyou That gives me hope, and i had a feeling someone young must have felt the same as me. I hope things go the same as they did for you. I married 3 fabulously beautiful women. The first marriage lasted one year the second two months and the third one year. Then I married a Thai lady and I am still married now for nearly 40 years. But in Jomtein or Pattaya you will not likely find nice Thai girls. The whole area is one huge sex supermarket. kerryk
On a positive note, there are cities in Thailand where if you give the lady 1000 baht in the morning she might get insulted. Pattaya is not one of those cities.
green77
Thankyou Yes i get the feeling a thai would make a great life partner. Also i know pattaya is going to be the hardest place to meet nice girls, but i expect most bar girls are trapped and feel they have no choice. Is this correct, are bar girls bad news for relationships or just stuck in a rut. I'm interested in jomiten because i believe i'm going to struggle to learn thai quick. bob4you
Good Thai girls in Pattaya and Jomtiem that speak fluent English are difficult to find. I went to Philippines to find mine and just brought her sister back to live with us in Pattaya. She doesn't smoke, drink, swear or like to party, is a great dancer (won many dance contests back home) enjoys movies, bowling and trying new things. She has never had a boyfriend and is finding it difficult to be attracted to guys that are 40-50 years older than her who are "butterflies". She would love to find someone closer to her own age that wants to have a committed relationship starting with friendship and moving forward slowly. She is not like the girls back home that need wining and dining at fancy restaurants. She has never experienced the finer things in life so has no idea what she might be missing. I have been with my wife for 3 years and even with all the girls available here in Thailand I have never strayed nor have I been tempted, I am a lucky man. If anyone would like to meet her (sister J, leave my wife alone LOL) they can come to the Pattaya City Expat Club on Sunday morning at 9:30am (if you cannot get up that early on Sunday you are too much of a party person)and I will be happy to introduce you. Included is a picture of my wife Rita and sister J, PM if you want more information.

jombom
Lots of great golf courses near here. Re the women --- never judge the book by the cover --- lots of great girls here --- but they will run the slide rule over you too --- ''he is young'' plus, ''he is ugly'' minus, ''he has kind heart'' plus, ''he has money'' plus, ''he is a Farang'' minus. And so it goes -- you get the idea. You are still quite young --- regard it as an adventure, and go with the flow, all within sensible boundaries of course.
