Husband and wife accused of necklace snatch and possession of firearm in Jomtien

PATTAYA: -- A Husband and Wife team who were suspected of conducting a necklace snatch were later arrested at a Police Checkpoint in Jomtien and were caught in possession of a loaded firearm. Police received details of the necklace snatch on their radios and realized the suspects were heading in the direction of Jomtien and set-up a checkpoint in front of the Tepprasit Road Police Box. The suspects were soon spotted and initially failed to stop until they were forcibly stopped close- by. The bike driver, Khun Bagit aged 30 and the passenger, his wife Khun Orapan aged 20 were searched along with their bike and under the seat a loaded .45 caliber handgun
