I enjoy eating Thai cuisine, but I am an Aussie and I need the occasional infusion of steak, bacon, beans on toast etc.

My wife and I have developed some hybrid meals....not intentionally but through evolution.

I would be interested to hear from other couples who have managed to do the same.

As a starter, we often have beef stew...except, we substitute beef for pork, add chilli, or a little curry, and have a side dish with Thai herbs and other Thai bits to use as a garnish. I am not big on the garnish, but my wife loves to eat my 'Aussie stew' this way.

Crispy bacon is also one of my wife's favourites, she makes Thai fried rice using crispy bacon, adds a tin of edgel peas, some corn kernels and we are both satisfied with the resultant hybrid.
