Trump on Truth social appoints, wait for it, Judge Jeanine from Fox as interim State Attorney for the district of Columbia.

Another one with booze problems.

Does he know anybody outside of the Fox circle?

  • She was very tough on sex offenders, domestic abusers and child predators.

Trump is now seeming to play games with the 120-day interim appointment capability maybe just a series of 119-day appointments, so no US attorney for Wash DC ever has to be confirmed by the Senate.

Eyelid, eyebrows, hairline? You seem to know a lot about this. Are you a makeup artist?

Nothing wrong with that, though. You do you!

As well as on full bottles of liquor. Wouldn't have it!

She's kind of fun to watch on Fox.  She certainly has strong opinions and likes to share them.

I don't think she'll put up with any dual standards of justice like we keep kept seeing.

Elect a clown expect a circus…..nuff said.

It is interesting to observe when the right (here, on this forum) chooses to play the DEI card or, in this case, not.

Tell us how Judge DiPirro is not qualified to be a prosecutor?

If only Ricky Gervais was a Murcan. :coffee1:

What DEI card?  Unlike a certain failed presidential candidate, Judge Jeanine can hold up her end of an intelligent conversation.

Ms. Pirro has been appointed as the interim U.S. attorney for Washington. She has not been nominated and there is no indication she will be nominated for the full position which would require Senate approval. Interim appointments do not.

Same question. How is she not qualified?

I mean I don't know Judge Jeanine.  I Mean I know who and what she has done as a celebrity legal expert Judge on a TV program whatever on Fox.  And who doesn't get chills when POTUS promotes oddball people.

Same answer. It is a matter whether Trump is using interim appoi8ntments to circumvent Senate approval process.

Inside the salacious scandal that derailed Jeanine Pirro's political career

Long before she was a Fox News host who pushed pro-Trump election conspiracy theories, Jeanine Pirro was an ambitious New York politician whose career stalled after she was recorded plotting to bug her then-husband’s boat to catch him in an affair.

The revelation rocked Pirro’s campaign for New York attorney general nearly 20 years ago, resulting in days of front-page headlines in the city’s tabloids (“BUG THIS LOVE BOAT!” blared the Daily News cover).

The conversation took place in 2005 between Pirro and the former commissioner of the New York Police Department, Bernard Kerik, a close ally of Rudy Giuliani’s. “What am I supposed to do, Bernie? Watch him f--- her every night?” Pirro said, according to a transcript obtained by WNBC-TV’s Jonathan Dienst in 2006. “What am I supposed to do? I can go on the boat. I’ll put the f-----g thing on myself.”

The internal Fox News emails made public in the Dominion lawsuit are revealing.

Common. At least she hasnt spent her career being a suckhole, like most who seek Justice Department/Judge positions.

Its a sad fact of the US legal system that one must be a suckhole to succeed, no matter what your qualifications.

If you want to talk about her qualifications, ask someone who commented on her qualifications.

I remember that, that was great. Reading the papers on the subway (there was a specific way you folded the paper so you could read it in crowds) was so much fun when you found out what happened yesterday, unless you were tipped off by WINS 1010AM while shaving, "you give us 22 minutes, we give you the world".

Then down to CBGBs  for the Ramones or whoever.

Judge Jeannie reminded me of my Uncles wife, Sicilian from LI. That accent and you just knew she would stab you in a heartbeat.

I had a friend that tried a case in front of her (lost) and she was one of the types who would let defense attorneys get away with anything at trial. That way, if the jury convicted, reversible errors were minimized and she could slap the s**t out of the Defendant with a max indeterminate.

Good judges were like that. In a criminal case, throw all the cards the defendants way that way the appeals Court will say "this defendant received a far trial".

FWIW, Judge Jeanni has a particular hardon for child abusers and traffickers.

I love NY and always will despite the fact that it has turned into a Socialist hellhole.

Silly me, there I was imagining (based upon Mr Trump's public boasting in front of the cameras) that was a prerequisite reserved for those wishing to conduct trade negotiations!

Not too bothered about the actual administration of justice then - but rather on being able to "slap the s**t out of the Defendant with a max indeterminate".

Sounds like an excellent choice; just the sort of prosecutor to curb the freedoms of a "socialist hellhole"!

Big whoop.  She wanted to put security cameras on some community property she and her husband owned.  Most wives would have paid a private detective...

Huh? You have little understanding of how the adversary justice system works.

Would you rather the Judge skew everything for the Gov?
