kalbo123
According to Condé Nast Traveller Sydney is the best city in the world for travelers. Strange because I always read Bangkok is the best city for travellers, and has the best food, wine etc.... Don't know if I can put a link to the site, but I suggest you just google it. Bangkok isn't even in the top 20! Edited October 14, 2011 by kalbo123

Tattoo180sx
Sydney's only good a few months on the year, Bangkok usually comes up trumps any time of the year. Not to mention the local people. Sydney locals aren't much to write home about, I am (was) one btw.

LindsayBKK
Sorry prefer Brisbane, especially when Gold Coast or Bribie Island + Sunshine Coast are only 45-1hr away has best of everything. Not to mention close proximity to Springbrook & Mount Tamborine etc. Not to mention less traffic pollution. winner! MRToMRT
I am not Australian. Sydney is one of the world premier cities, absolutely fantastic and a good example of what a great city should be. The Australians have done themselves proud. As along term resident of Bangkok I find it shocking that Bangkok can even get into the top twenty. Sure the people are nice, it has good food, its exciting BUT as a city its a piece of crap. But the fact that Pattaya is the worlds greatest beach resort, with the cleanest beaches, bluest sea and greatest hotels more than makes up for the failings of Bangkok Edited October 19, 2011 by MRToMRT
