A peaceful mass movement campaigning for higher taxes on the rich and the corporations in Thailand? The only question is how they would be destroyed, police and tear gas or red shirts and grenades

A bunch of stoned-out malcontents trying to start a revolution just for the hell of it? Not in Thailand.

UG....I have to differ with you about your statements about 'stoned out malcontents starting a revolution for the hell of it'......would you call the labor unions and a few politicians with balls 'stoned-out malcontents'??/

and 'trying to start a revolution just for the hell of it'......they're issues are not justified??

Amazing how blind people are. Wake up sheeple.

Where do get your news from? bbc? cnn or any other main stream media?

There trying a media blackout for a reason mate. Surely this proves they need to stop this movement but it wont stop trust me.

The problem I see is that the intention of the protests in the States are being twisted and perverted to other meanings in other countries as was done in the Philippines, where it became anti American.

Who's the sheeple again? Mainstream media is a for profit organization so news is reported for thinking people to distinguish for themselves, sometimes there's a slant but thinking people can see around that..

The protests are on the first page of the BBC and other sites, hardly a black out.

And how could the Western press mis-represent the protests when so many people are involved? In the Middle East maybe, but not in their own countries.

The Arab Spring was amazing. I thought why not in the USA? I have thought that for a long time. It is wonderful to finally see Americans from such diverse backgrounds come together to take on the 1%. It took a long time for Americans to come out of their mass media induced coma. But I do not think it will happen in Thailand because Thais are, in my view, not informed enough to see the big picture and take appropriate action. I do think we are going to see it happen in Africa (central and southern states) and South America, but not Thailand. It could even spread to China. Interesting times ahead.

Well there is nothing on Fox news main page and has many other stories.

How many people will be grouping in all the cities in the USA today? possibly over 1 hundred thousand maybe more?.

Find that very strange nothing is on there.

Hmmmmmm yeah seems like they are not worried ;);)

BBC is more interested in yemen and letting everyone know some wall street protestors have been arrested :whistling::whistling:

Just keep your Flouride and Aspartame intake up to the level it should be and everyone will be fine

Yep very interesting time ahead.

Hopefully good times too.

You have to admit though the 1% must b shitting it now.

Personally I think most are a bit pre-occupied with a more personal event in their lives at the moment.. Many don't even have a dry bed to sleep in tonight so a Wall street protest is probably not at the top of their list of priorities at the moment..

What issues? The unions and politicians have just latched onto the protestors "movement" and are trying to upsurp it for their own agenda. They are Johnny-come-latelys, but the original protesters are mostly a mish-mash of off-beat causes with no direction.

It reminds me off the constant protests in San Francisco since the 60s that happen at the drop of a hat or for no reason at all.

I do not think Occupy Wall Street will take off in Thailand, simply because the whole thing is so pointless and undefined. The Thais have plenty of real issues to protest about if they so choose.

You really are out of touch with reality. The movement is far from pointless and long overdue. Yes, it is not yet fully defined, but that is a good thing in a democracy. Eventually it will gain more focus, especially on what to do about the myriad of problems that the 1% have caused. For your information, Al Gore, Jeffrey Sachs, and Noam Chomsky have recently praised the movement. The mainstream mass media is doing what it can to ignore/minimize what is happening, but with social media in place, they will not be effective this time. The bad news is winter is approaching in the USA and that will probably put an end to many outdoor events. We will have to wait and see. It is wonderful to see this happening.
