3 Month Visa At Air Port

Featured Replies

Last year I got a 30 day visa at custom control but the customs officer said I could buy a longer visa at a office near by before going through immigration. Is this true, has anyone done it as I would like to stay for 3 months and don't want to go too Amsterdam to get one.

Yes I believe you can buy a multiple entry visa at the port of entry as long as it's an airoprt. The visas are in multiples of 90 days and will probably cost you around 3,000 or 4,000 baht for one year and maybe 2,000 baht for 90 days.

Moved to visa forum.

You cannot buy a visa giving you permission to stay for two or three months at Suvarnabhumi airport or any other airport in Thailand.

Correct Maestro . Can only get at a Thai consulate in another country.

that would be too easy

Oh yes you can. ----------------------------

The only visa you can buy at the airport is a Visa On Arrival, if your nationality qualifies for that. Non-immigrant visas and such can not be bought at the airport and must be applied for at a Thai consulate.

The information you gave in your earlier post is obviously wrong.

I am compiling an album of visa stamps, to link to whenever it is useful to give a member an example of a particular stamp.

If you have in your passport a visa obtained at a Thai airport giving you permission to stay for 60 or 90 days I would be grateful if you scanned it and posted it here for my collection. Also a copy of the arrival stamp based on entry with that visa.
