Okay team, So I have been reading all day through the forum posts here attempting to understand how a double entry might work in my specific scenario, but to no avail. I know you guys and gals probably get sick of this question popping up every week or so but if anyone could take the time to help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Im having trouble understanding when the multiple entries are activated. I've read that a double entry works in a way that you get 60+30 and another 60+30? Is this the case? If so I have kind of a specific question....

Im doing a run to Vanvien with a visa run service and they get me a double entry tourist visa from Cambodia. NOW. I am traveling to Singapore November 11th to go visit my girlfriends family (who are also traveling) for a weekend. Does this mean that this counts as my entry and I get a 60+30 upon arriving back in Thailand? I've read that some visas are good for 6 months? while other are only good for 3? im really lost here team.

any guidance will be met with electronic hugs.

I suspect you will not obtain a 2 entry visa in Cambodia - have you checked recently?

First entry would be on return from getting the visa. You could stay the allowed 60 days and extend another 30 days for 1,900 baht at immigration. Trip to Singapore would use your second entry and would allow 60 day stay on return and extension of 30 days. To avoid using second entry you could visit immigration to obtain a re-entry permit for 1,000 baht to keep your first 60 day stay alive (using that for return from Singapore for the same 60 days date you got on return from Cambodia).

Visa as issued by Consulate has a use by/before date which means the allowed entry must be made by that date. For single entry this is 3 months but could be longer for some other types.

Ahh not cambodia, i meant Laos, sorry.

Thanks for the tip! I will for sure be obtaining a reentry permit so that i can go to Singapore and keep my first 60+30 active. Thanks so much!
