Hello all :)

I sold some stuff on ebay to Italy,Canada & Australia from Bangkok via Thailand Registered Airmail cost around 160 Baht . With the inclusion of Tracking & Trace Number. After 7 days the buyer said that he received the mail perfectly but the the Thailand Online tracking status says Location :

Laksi /// Accept

Laksi /// Item into container

Laksi /// Item dispatch

SUVARNABHUMI MAIL CENTRE /// Container Received

SUVARNABHUMI MAIL CENTRE /// Outgoing International

What about its destination received ? Tried to call the thailand postal call center but their phone is always busy

Can it be that the italian, canadian & australian postal system cant update the mail process online ? or there might be some Technical glitch both thailand and the other countries ?

anyone had any experience with this ?

Regards

MOTR

Can't comment on Italy, but when sending to the UK via EMS you can track on the Royal Mail tracking website, so try looking on the Italian postal service website.

Italy is not renowned for its postal service and Italian customs are well known for their inefficiency.

Some eBay sellers will not ship there, there could be a long wait for your client :(

Not always! I posted an item registered mail from Pattaya two weeks ago to England, tracked all the way to SUVARNABHUMI MAIL CENTRE /// Outgoing International, after that it disappeared, never showed up on the Royal Mail track and trace but was delivered four days after posting in Pattaya!

I have experienced the same many times over for registered mail to my home country.

Tracked till outgoing Suvarnabhumi and then nothing.

So must be the rule rather than the exception.

The "Out of Country" tracking is in a beta fase, like the site tells you also.

Please inform me : what is a beta phase ?, and how does one check it out ?

Sorry but I'm not very computer literate.

Never mind, I found it !!!

Would be a lot easier if they just said that its not operational yet.

Thanks

Basically being in a beta phase means it's not fully operational...still in a testing stage.

That's what the computer types tell you when they know the software still has problems they haven't fixed yet.

lol than its no use of using tracking in thailand to overseas if the item is not that expensive to sent. i also notice that thailand post do not have any arrival confirmation notification . and also no insurance option when sending overseas :(

Yes, we are shipping goods to EU and US since years and the tracking for registered mails never worked, so I now only try once a year to check if they have improved their service :-)

Sending registered mails is just a way to have some more time before Paypal refunds the customer who complains because he hasn't received yet !

Only EMS can be tracked throughout the world.

Can we share other postal tricks ?

How do you do to avoid customs check of your parcels beside sending them as gifts ?

Cheers.

Just got back from the Thailand Post , told the Postal office Manager about the situation. according to her Thailand Post today is changing their postal system , they have upgrade to a new track and trace system today and is under beta.

She said that all registered post are covered by Insurance and is printed on the receipt

THB 300 = Letter Package

THB 1000 = Boxed Package

THB 2000 = EMS Package

According to her the Registered Track & Trace cant track all countries destination but only some can. She said with the new system installed today she hope that everything will be fine and goes smooth with the customer tracking. If really the package is lost the customer can contact the hotline 1545 and make a report after 1 month . And they will lodge in the necessary report to claim insurance and investigation hoping that the receiver dont lie.

Finally the manager with a smile said she's retiring at the end of the year and hope the newer generation of postal staff can upgrade their servie lol
