Is there any way of extending an overland tourist stamp (14 day validity) from within Thailand for more than a week? Mine runs out on the 25th October. It transpires that I need to stay for another week or so, on top of my 14 day stamp. (I'm waiting for a business visa from Malaysia, so cannot re-enter there until said visa application is processed (about 10 days or so.)

I'm in Nakhon Sri Thammarat (NST) so the next best option for a new 14 day stamp would be Victoria Point via Ranong - does anyone have any recommendations for visa run companies? I could ride to Krabi and get the minivan from there if need be. Is there still such a thing as the Andaman Club as a visa renewal option?

While I'm married to a Thai and have children, I don't think I can qualify at the drop of a hat for a Non-Imm O as so far, the free 14 day stamp has been sufficient each time, and normally, if I know I'm going to be here for more than a coupla weeks, I get a 60 day tourist visa from the Thai embassy in KL. This time I didn't... doh. (Haven't done it for at least a year now.) Plus, as I say, I cannot pop over to Penang to redo longer term visas, and I hear Vic Point only does simple tourist visas - don't know if that's the reality, but a fresh 14 day stamp should do for me.)

Any advice is as always greatly appreciated - Cheers!

Thanks for the replies guys. It sounds good, but my marriage/kids' birth certs are in KL right now... I do, of course, have Thai passports for the family, all with my family name on. The family are in the Tabien Baan book, and I'm in it as a parent of the children registered there. Would these count as sufficient evidence of proof of relationship? As I got married here I guess getting official document copies is an option also. Plus, Do I need to show any funds in the bank for this extension?

Ideas? Cheers!

Edit: Sorry Mario, was writing while you posted!

Another edit: Just remembered that I got married here in NST, traditionally. Legally, it was done a month later in Bang Rak, Bangkok, so maybe getting a marrige cert copy mightn't be that easy! But I do have a history of work permits and their associated Non Imm B/O extensions done in the NST Immigration office, where I'd be looking at getting the suggested 60 day extension - would this be a possible avenue of relationship proof?
