Airlinks To Maesot, Phrae, And Others.

Featured Replies

Came to this after reading the Question of a few days ago re airlinks to Kho-Rat. Since the demise of Phu-air, serving these routes from BKK, it seems they all fell in a service-less gap. As I am not permanent here in LOS and have occasional access to news: has perhaps anyone read/heard something of perhaps another carrier taking over? On 30/10 all Airlines change to the (winter)schedule, but from those I looked at, none was expanding into these. Or perhaps dear old THAI was right after all in insisting that all routeas are heavy loss-makers, even on a lowercostbase and with higher fares?

I can confirm that no-one flies into Phrae these days.

Why the heck would you want to come to Phrae ?

Why indeed? Tell us, Thetyim!

It's the place they make mor hom, and they got a Tesco's there for starters, i'd say. :o

Anyway, it's near the Northern Railroute, near Densai. Who needs to fly?

Why Phrae? well, iIwas not at the mo intending to go there, nor is dear Wasantr, BUT it was a general question. And, chai, have been to phrae; a very charming, nice old teakwooden town, excellent nightmarket, ''like ChMai used to be 25? 20? years ago"' would people say! IF you happen to stay there, youve won the other lotteree: for staying in a real nice place!

Did the Phrae local newspaper have anything to say about another new airline popping in?
