Low season on Pattaya’s beaches

PATTAYA: -- It’s been a strange season to be beside the seaside anywhere in Pattaya, given the high winds, high waves, rain, misery and flooding that we have seen recently.

Of course, now the beach is also being washed away, there is a lot less space available for punters to actually be beside the seaside, even when the going is good.

A stroll on an average low season day on either Pattaya or Jomtien Beach makes one quickly realise how very low low season has been this year.

It will only be a matter of time before these umbrella-free areas are extended along the beaches of Pattaya and Jomtien to take account of the new generation of Pattaya tourists, instead of having a forest of umbrellas which nobody seems to use, or certainly not in proportion to the number of umbrellas about.

Nothing wrong with a few umbrella's for hire sprinkled here and there so it looks nice but to be under a forest of tatty old shabby ones makes you feel depressed just sitting there. Not everyone thinks the sun is the enemy. Lets hope we have a better year next year anyway, It cant get much worse then this year, can it?

OH dear - I'm much happy during the Low Season. All those crowds . . . . . ah well

The daily garbage and intermittent raw sewage backwash doesn't do much for the beaches either.

Yes, Full of quality Indian tourists sharing a beer and a hooker ,full of quality Russian tourists eating at tesco food court and full of Chinese tour groups wandering around and then catching a bus to a chinese restaurant

Or full of tatood vest wearing mongers in sandals and black socks

Both Pattaya and Bang Saray beaches looked really busy at the weekend.....

maybe it´s only me...
