Go Cards indeed...

Game 1 was good. Did you see it?

I download it as I don't like going to bars. Game 2 will be downloaded in a few minutes. My night is sorted.

Just started watching game 2.

It's probably on UBC. I gave that over-priced service the boot a few years ago.

See my PM.

It's on UBC channel 108, ESPN.

I watched both games live in the comfort of my home...and really enjoyed game 2.

I agree. Game 2 was great. Nothing to do these days in Bangkok with floods on the way, but to watch the Rangers.

Game 3 not so great. :bah:

Perhaps if you are a Rangers fan, Pujols Rocks, hall of famer all the way (have to give him props even if you are a rangers fan) :)

Positively Pujols had a great game 3, unsurpassed in World Series history.

He went 0-4 against Holland in game 4 with one ball out of the infield. Holland clearly dominated the Cards with a 2 hitter in 8.1 innings.

I have been watching World Series' since television was invented and the old adage is true..."Good pitching beats good hitting".

Me Ranger fan. :jap:

Should have said Pujols went 0-3, not 0-4. My mistake.

I wonder what Jeff Burroughs, Toby Harrah, and Dave Nelson are doing today?

Just watched an unbelievable game 6 replay. Cards tied it up twice in the 9th and 10th. I mighthave to get up early for game 7 tomorrow. Inexplicably True cut out the tops of innings 9, 10, 11. :annoyed: This is why I don't pay them for their service anymore. And for tomorrow they aren't listing game 7 at their website. I hope this is just because of the game 5 rain out.

I have a hard time deciding who to root for. As an A's fan going back to the early 80's I got so see La Russa do amazing things through the Bash Bro's steroid years. He lived not far from me. I used to see him shopping at Trader Joe's. Then there's Wash. The iconic, affable former A's 3rd base coach. A shame the A's passed on him as head coach. He is a players coach.

Rangers are an AL West team and I usually support the AL....but then they are from Texas. <_< I find myself rooting for who ever is behind.

In the mean time...Go Niners!

Edit: I see now the need for editing out the tops of innings 9,10 and 11...to make room for an hour of game 5 commentary!! TIT!!

All of the 2nd and 3rd innings were cut--Texas scored runs in both of those innings--and bits of others were snipped out also. The game time was 4:33 and the edited version was about 2:25...

The final game could be a real thriller and I'm making time to watch it because God only knows what the replay will consist of.

I don't know if TrueVisions are editing these games or if they receive them already cut by ESPN (or whomever) but I CAN'T WAIT for my new subscription to ASN to be installed so I can be rid of UBC and start watching the NFL.

True showed the entire game unedited live, at least on my satellite coverage.

I don't watch much baseball these days, and I don't really care about the Rangers or the Cardinals, but this was a very entertaining World Series and that's very good for the game of baseball. It had great play, poor play, good coaching moves and bad ones. I'm guessing that everyone watching enjoyed the series with the exception of the most devout Rangers fan.

The replay shown at 1430 was cut by more than 2 hours...

The butchering of replays of baseball games on ESPN is the work of the idiots at ESPN-Asia in Singapore. They set a three-hour time frame for all their replays of baseball games, but still throw in all those freakin' ESPN promos during the in-between inning breaks, which they could cut. It is a 'replay', after all. In fact, they add extra ones and even create 'extra' breaks that weren't there for the live broadcast. You get about a little over two hours for the games itself.

Bothersome during the regular season, borderline criminal for postseason and World Series games. Gotta watch them live, I have long given up watching any ESPN replays, and the disregard they have for the games.

What a series! Even sometimes played sloppily and some wacky managing, it was baseball at its dramatic best. Won't soon forget what happened in this one. Congrats to the Cardinals, getting World Series championship number 11 in '11'!
