7-Eleven No Longer Gives Receipts - What Happened?
I prefer to have the receipt, as a bit of an anti-app person. Less is better IMHO. Always have a ballpark idea what the tally will be before paying, and if too far off, I'd like to know if over charged, or if they missed something, as most items with be pre-made meals, needing heating, and easily missed or double charged. Especially if 2 people get involved in the process. Paying attention as they ring things up helps, as the digital display does face the customer. -

Bank trouble after buying crypto - need real help
I don't trust any bank. They'll smile to get your money, but if they have a problem, they'll use your money to solve their problem. In Thailand, the bank guarantee is only one million Baht, regardless of how many millions you have in the bank. Why does anyone keep money in a bank anyway? The interest is pathetic, and you can get a far higher return with gold. Since 1st January, its value has increased by about 27% so far. -

I Love to Touch You When We Walk: But,..."OK in Thailand"?
Do you come from another planet? Thai woman love to hold their partners' hands IF they like them. If you have problems with females holding your hand in public, you're the problem. Age difference—no problems. I'm 65, and my 26-year-old girlfriend always wanted to hold my hand. My current 33-year-old girlfriend won't go anywhere without holding my hand. Many casual dates also loved to hold hands. Just use the test. Let her initiate hand-holding. If she doesn't want to touch you or hold your hand, then you're with the wrong lady. I'm always in major tourist locations. I can't speak for what happens in a small rural town, aka Nakonsanowhere. -

Accident Police Aircraft Crashes Into Sea Off Cha-am, Leaving Five Dead
Pictures from responders. An incident unfolded off the coast of Cha-am on the morning of 25 April, when a small police aircraft crashed into the sea, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and injuring one more. At approximately 08:15, Phetchaburi’s Emergency Response Centre 191 received a report from a member of the public alerting authorities to a light aircraft that had plunged into the sea, about 100 metres offshore in front of the Baby Grand Resort in Cha-am district. Police from Cha-am station, including the Huai Sai Tai patrol unit, were immediately dispatched to the scene. Rescue units found the wreckage of a small aircraft partially submerged, with multiple casualties inside. Emergency medical teams rushed to the site to assist and transport the injured to a nearby hospital. One person was reported seriously injured, while five others were confirmed deceased at the scene. Initial reports indicate that the aircraft, believed to be operated by the police, overshot its landing point and ended up in the sea. Authorities have yet to confirm the cause of the crash and are currently gathering witness statements and evidence from the scene. The operation to recover the aircraft and fully investigate the incident is ongoing, made more difficult by the location of the wreckage offshore. Adapted by Asean Now from Daily News 2025-04-25.
