Child Exploitation Seminar begins at Pattaya City Hall

PATTAYA: -- A three day conference highlighting the dangers children face from those who wish to exploit them through the internet and other means of communication for sexual purposes has begun at Pattaya City Hall. The conference held in association with CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Center), a division of the British Police, the British Council, the British Embassy Bangkok and Pattaya City Hall was formally opened on Wednesday Morning by HE Asif Ahmad, the UK Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Tim Gerrish from CEOP and Khun Itipon, the Mayor of Pattaya. The conference will highlight the dangers facing Children who use the Internet and the methods used by individuals whose ultimate aim is to meet and sexually abuse them.

Last week, I was visiting a bar on Soi 6. I asked the waitress how things were going.

She mentioned there were quite a few underage girls working in the bars.

The problem was the bars with the young girls must pay the police more.

not to mention all the Child Porn before walking Street ..... , i even once complained to the Tourist Police who mentioned NOTHING can be done to stop it, as it was only a 200 THB fine !

These witless clowns should leave the air-conditioned conference hall, walk down 2nd Rd, and do something to help the child beggars who are there in the gutter every single day, to the great detriment of their physical and mental health.

This is where the real abuse is.

Nobody sets up shop on the street or footpaths without paying a 'fine'.

Even the beggars.
