Pets In The Flood - Any Assistance?

Has anyone heard of any help being given to anyone evacuated in the flood with their pets, either by the government or by kennels, etc?

I am about to "host" 10 dogs until further notice, as otherwise there doesn't seem to be any plan for pets or any assistance available, but with the numbers of people being evacuated there must be literally thousands of pets in need of temporary accommodation.

Many rescue organizations have joined together and are working extremely hard to safe many pets, and also other domesticated and wild animals. If you are on facebook you can follow that.
