Rimmer Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Illegal Money Lender caught by Police in South Pattaya PATTAYA: --An illegal money lender who allegedly assaulted his customers after demanding extra payments on-top of what had been borrowed was arrested by Region 2 Police on Thursday Night. Officers from the Child and Women Protection Unit received a complaint from Khun Logana aged 27 regarding the money lender. She claimed to have borrowed 6,000 Baht from the man at an agreed interest rate of 20%, however before the money had been paid back, he changed the terms of the loan and demanded an extra 20,000 Baht to be paid as well as the original loan amount plus interest. Khun Logana alleges the man, later named as Khun Tawee aged 34, assaulted her and claimed the level of violence would increase if his payments terms were not met.
