Gladiator Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 This afternoon at McKean's Hospital we said farewell to Ivan. He was a good mate, and served his Queen and Country as a Royal Marine Commando. All credit to the Britsh Legion and VFR for being so supportive. The service was simple and brief. I met Ivan 10 years ago in Saraphi and we both taught English together at Chiang Mai Inter Technical College for a while. He loved nothing more than riding his bike and would often ride some 80 kilometres each day. Once even cycled up to Laos. Rest well my old friend.
