We were in the process of moving to LOS, and next month we were hoping to ship our personal effects over there.

I understand returning Thai residents are eligible to bring in household effects acquired abroad free of taxes and duties. I was told for me entering with a non-immigrant 90 days visa accompany spouses of Thai resident will not qualify for free taxes. One way is to ship everything in the wife name, but I am worry that the custom might pick up on items that was obvious not belong to a woman. Any comments or experiences?
