There is a very good article in Guru or Brunch, the mni-magazine in the newspapers, about these kind of places either one or two weeks ago.

It's all a scam and not worth the danger of going into those places. Although could be fun if you go with someone and you both act as if you don't understand Thai... You will hear what they really think of you haha
