My employer has locked my work permit and says that as long as the government

is informed it is not illegal to work. Is this true or not? I have my doubts.

It is my believe that you can lock a work permit for max. 3 months and that during this time you are not allowed to work until you re-activate the permit, which costs 1500Thb I believe. Who has some advice?

How is it that your wp is locked. Your wp is to be kept with you. Not with the employer.

Your wp (little blue book) is to be kept in the office of your employer.

At least that is what I think...........

Anyway, who knows about the lock-up procedure of work-permits?

You are best to go to the source of this information...like the immigrationoffice or whoever it is that dishes out the work permit.
